1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Spooke website, published by the site publisher (see the legal notice). Spooke publishes a ranking of websites and digital projects ordered by the amount paid for each of them, and lets you present these projects. Using the site means accepting these terms.
2. Account
Presenting a project requires an account linked to a verified email address. You provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and remain responsible for the actions carried out from your account.
The account is a personal account, if you act in a personal capacity, or a business account, if you act on behalf of a company that you are authorised to represent. A business account provides its company name, its SIREN or EU VAT number and its address before any payment: its invoices are issued in its name.
3. Publishing projects
- You only present projects that you own or are authorised to act for, and you guarantee that you hold the rights to the published content.
- The information and figures you declare must be accurate and up to date. A declared figure is only shown publicly once it has been verified.
- Every project is reviewed before publication. The team may reject a listing or withdraw it from publication; the decision comes with its reasons and is sent by email.
- Changing the content of a published listing submits it to a new review.
4. Paid placement in the ranking
- A site's rank in the ranking depends solely on the amount paid for it, from the displayed minimum. Amounts add up; for equal amounts, the site that reached that amount first is placed ahead.
- The payment pays for your site's presence in the ranking and for the link to your address, which is a sponsored link. It does not buy a position: another participant can pay more and move ahead.
- You can only present a site whose ownership you prove, by placing the code provided by Spooke on it. The listing is then reviewed by the team; payment is only possible after its approval.
- The placement goes live as soon as the payment is confirmed, at your express request collected before payment.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; Spooke does not receive your bank details.
- The team may remove from the ranking a site that breaches these terms; the owner is notified by email with the reason.
5. Prohibited content
Illegal, misleading or defamatory content, deliberately false figures, spam, impersonation, infringement of third-party rights and any attempt to circumvent the moderation or security of the site are prohibited.
6. Liability
Listings and ranking entries are written by their authors, and a site's rank only reflects the amount paid, not its quality. Reviewing listings and verifying figures limits errors without guaranteeing the complete accuracy of a listing, nor the value or future performance of a project. Before any decision, in particular a takeover, it is up to you to carry out your own checks.
7. Suspension and deletion
An account or a listing may be suspended in the event of a breach of these terms. You can withdraw your projects from your account and delete your account at any time from Settings → My data. An account with no sign-in for three years is deleted after a warning email. Invoices are kept for ten years, as required by law.
8. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy. You can download your data and delete your account from My data.
9. Changes to the terms
These terms may change as the site evolves, in particular when sales and offers open. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date. The version accepted when you signed up is recorded with its date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, subject to the mandatory provisions protecting consumers in their country of residence.
